Strengths and Weaknesses of HR System in Mazoon Diary Company:
Strength:
1. Distinctiveness:
The company’s HR system has properly assigned each employee with their proper position and the works that they are required to handle. The HR has also designed proper reporting system by defining the authority of each personnel and who should report to whom. Thus there is a proper legitimacy of authority.
2. Consistency of the Message:
The HR always sticks to the messages passed by them with regard to the perks or bonus payments. They never publish or announce a message without the final approval being received from the top management. As this strict and proper rule is existing in the company they can always stick to what they have announced and need not change the same.
3. Advocate for the Employees:
The HR system in Mazoon Diary Company is such that they function as the advocate for the employees and stand by the employees during the time of difficulty. They report to the management regarding the concerns of the employees in such a manner that the same would benefit the employees and not the management.
This actually provides the employees with a proper medium for letting the management know what the employees actually intend to say.
Weaknesses:
1. Less Customer Focused:
The HR system works as company focused and would be more interested in serving the company while the other employees will be concentrating on satisfying the customer i.e. customer focused. So at times there are chances that conflicts arise between these two groups regarding the works assigned by the HR to the employees which in turn was not satisfied by the employees as they were busy serving the customer. In this company also small conflicts arise at times with regard to such matters.
2. No Proper Training Programme arranged:
The HR system at Mazoon Diary Company does not arrange proper training programme for the talents they have recruited. Training and induction for the freshly selected talents are very crucial so as to get them acquainted and aligned with the company’s rules, regulations and way of functioning. But if the same is not conducted it would be difficult and time consuming to get these talents aligned with the company.
3. No Measures taken to reduce Labor Turnover:
The HR system in Mazoon Diary Company does not account to conduct any exit interview or other measures with respect to the people who are leaving the company. If they conduct the same, the company would be able to understand why people are leaving the company and hence take the correction measures or necessary action by reporting the same to the management.
HR System of a company is an important factor as it manages the most important or key element of an entity which is its human resource. This can be computed as a competitive advantage of the company. Hence, having a healthy and sound HR system is very important.
