Effects of hypertension on the population of Newark New Jersey

The New Jersey Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program (NJHDSPP) conducts many programs to identify the impacts of hypertension in New Jersey recently.

As per the results, blacks have the highest percentage of hypertension about 41. While whites 29% and Asians 27% and Hispanics 31% .​​​​​​

  • Increased health care expenditure than previous decades
  • Need of additional funds to conduct research and development in order to identify and prevent the prevalence of hypertension
  • Increased cardiovascular diseases
