Expert Solution

Answer: There are three branches of government, Legislative, Executive and Judiciary. The legislative branch works in conjunction with the executive and judicial branches and its main responsibility is to create the law. The Executive branch is responsible to execute the law and the Judicial branch is responsible to evaluate the laws.

The healthcare system has been an important area for governments across the world. One of the objective of healthcare system is to ensure that people can get the benefits of all the policies and strategies of government. The government of the United States has always focused to create healthcare reforms that can benefit people.

The healthcare reforms are continuously done based on internal and external factors (Collins, 2011). For example, government implemented the policy of Medicare and Medicaid. These are the old reforms but it has been observed that senate form every government would make some changes in these existing policies. The Obama administration also brought its own health care reforms and made some changes in the Medicare and Medicaid. It can be said that legislative branch has an important role to play in the healthcare policies and reforms. Courts with judicial review power may annul the laws and rules of the state when it finds them incompatible with a higher norm, such as primary legislation, the provisions of the constitution or international law.
