Why does Medea kill Pelias? What does her murder of Pelias reveal about Hera? About Medea’s nature? About Jason’s nature? What might you predict based on this knowledge?

(Answer) Why does Medea kill Pelias?
Madea killed Pelias because he was Jason’s uncle who forcefully took the throne upon the death of Jason’s father. She wanted to secure the throne for Jason and so tricked Pelias’ daughters into letting her cut him into pieces with the false promise of restoring his youth.
What does her murder of Pelias reveal about Hera?
About Medea’s nature?
Medea comes across as a character with a very cunning and ambitious nature. She is ambitious to the point of disregarding her own morals. She is a princess and a talented witch who betrays her own father kills her own brother and plots against anybody to is a hurdle to her goals.
About Jason’s nature?
Jason seems to stick to people who he finds would be useful to him. Once he seems to have no use of them, he seems to abandon them. He comes across as a coward and also arrogant in his ways.
What might you predict based on this knowledge?
It can be predicted that such characters would end up ruining their own lives because of their selfishness, retribution, greed and unwarranted ambition. This is exactly what happens at the end of the story when not major character ends up with the happy life.
