Hello, I need to give a 5 minute commemorative speech tribute to Womens right's movement, can you help me out?
Started in 1869 as the Women's suffrage Association, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and Lucretia Mott were the founding members of this group. This association fought for providing equal rights to women and the right to vote. The movement was met by many oppositions and disagreements for a very long time but on 18th August 1920, the government finally sanctioned, all American women the right to vote and all other equal rights and responsibilities of citizenship. The movement lost some momentum because of the civil war and the world war. However, The work done by women during the war and all the help they provided benefited the movement and the government finally authorized the 19th amendement.
