The copernican revolution was the paradigm shift from ptolemaic model of heavens, which described the cosmos as having earth stationary at the center of the universe, to the heliocentric model with the sun at the center of the solar system

galileo galilei was an italian scientist who is sometimes reffered to as "father of modern observational astronomy". his improvements to the telescope, astronomicl observations, and support forcopernicanism was all integral to copernican revolution.

1) he discovered while studying jupiter that 4 moons were orbiting it called the galliean moon contradicted the geocentric theory( with earth as the center) and supported copernican heliocentric theory with sun as center

2) he studied phases of venus which supported heliocentic theory

3) the imperfections in the moon also supported heliocentric theory

like his techer plato, aristotle also believed in geocentric theory according to him the earth was too big to move and if it was moving very fast then there should be enormous winds which are not so he supported geocentric which according to him was epistemology i.e, based on the study of things that exist or happens in the world
