Answer: Customer is a person who buys company's product or consumes company's service. Customer is King and God. He should be well informed for any delay or progress because of following reasons-

• Customers are very important for any business they should be communicated each and every thing that can directly or indirectly affect their perception, value or satisfaction.
• Company should tell about any delay in product or service delivery by itself by apologizing and accepting because if customer gets to know about any delay by himself, he may lose the trust that is very important in any business.
• Customers should be informed about any progress or delay of the product or service so that they can be mentally prepared for it and they can arrange the things if needed early. For example, Mr. John ordered medicines online and he has to take the pills on daily basis, if there is any delay from company side and Mr. John is informed then he can arrange the medicines for few days.
• By informing about delays and progress, company can gain customer's trust and satisfaction, doing so will remind the customers that you are there for them.
