Hepatic vein carries blood from the liver to the heart.
a.Aorta -It is the main and largest artery . Aorta carries oxygenated blood from the left ventricle to the other parts of the body
b. Hepatic vein-It carries deoxygenated blood from liver to the inferior vena cava,which carries blood to the right atrium of the heart.The 3 hepatic veins are right hepatic vein,left hepatic vein and middle hepatic vein.
c. Thoracic duct-It is the largest lymphatic vessel of the lymphatic system.It is also called left lymphatic duct,chyleferous duct or alimentary duct.It carries chyle(it is a liquid which contains both lymph and emulsified fat) to the circulatory system(near brachiocephalic vein between the internal jugular vein and left subclavian veins).It also carries lymph in the body other than neck,arm,head and right thorax.
d. Hepatic portal vein-It carries blood and nutrients from the spleen,stomach,gall bladder and intestines to the liver
