aorta--->celiac trunk--->__________--->capillaries of stomach--->_________--->__________--->capillaries (sinusoids) of liver-->hepatic veins--->________--->__________.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Oxygenated blood leaves the heart through the aorta which descends into the abdominal cavity as the abdominal aorta to celiac trunk, superior mesentric artery and inferior mesentric artery.

Blood flow from capillaries of stomach move to the smallest vein and follow the direction of blood flow into the larger veins and back to the heart.

Hepatic artery carries blood from aorta to the liver. Where as the portal vein carries blood containing digested nutrients from the entire gastrointestinal tract, and also from the spleen and pancrease to the liver. These blood vessels sub divided into capillaries. Once in the liver, the blood is distributed throughout and collected into the hepatic veins that then terminate into the inferior vena cava.

From inferior vena cava blood enter as deoxygenated into the right atrium then right ventricle and it moves to pulmonary artery to oxygenate the blood from lungs
