The isolation precautions are mainly three types. Contact isolation prevent direct skin to skin contact, by using gown and gloves. Droplet isolation prevent transmission of infection through droplets, includes single room isolation with care of patient using gown,surgical face mask, gloves. The airborne precautions used for highly contagious airborne infections with single room isolation, and use of all personal protective equipments including N95 masks.

The clients with low WBC count will be immunosuppressive, so they should be cared with protective precautions to prevent acquiring infections. This include providing single room and restricting number of visitors. Providing surgical face mask to the client and the visitors. Caring the client with use of personal protective equipments. Practicing proper hand washing techniques before, during and after client care, and avoiding materials like fresh flowers, potted plants in the clients room. Avoiding raw vegetables,a nd fruits in clients diet.
