1. Describe the main differences between the inner and outer planets.
2. Describe the surface of Venus?
3. What evidence is there of past large bodies of water on Mars?
4. Describe some of the geology of Mars?

The planets that are seen befre the astroid belt of the solar system ( mercury, venus , earth ,mars) are called the inner planets. And the planets found after the astroid belt are outer planets.
The inner planets are near to the sun and is mostly rocky in nature. The outer planets are far away from the sun and is comprised of gases.
Also the inner planets are small and outer planets are very large.
The inner planets are much more denser whole the outer planets are less denser
The inner planets spins slowly but orbits around sun quickly. Where as the outer planets are comparetivly faster spinners but orbits around the sun slowly
2. The surface of venus is a very hot and dry place. The surface of venus is solid and comparetivly smooth unlike mars or mercury. The planet has many active volcanoes and much of its surface is covered with old lava flows .The atmosphere of venus has many greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide which leads to high temperature on the surface which can even melt lead(470° c).So the planet is assumed to have no possibility of a life form.

Most of the water today on mars exists as ice or vapour. But the images of the surface of mars indicate that once the surface of mars had water flowing through in water bodies. The mars express satlite gave images showed a system of interlinked trenches and valleys which were most liktbe formed by water erosion. In 2012 the scientists in nasa also declared that curiosity rover found evidence of an ancient steam bed suggesting past flow of water.
4.
Like earth , mars has many mountains valleys and volcanoes. Olympus mons the largest volcano in solar system is situated in mars. It is 3 times taller than the mount Everest. The surface is mostly rocky comprising of oxidised iron dust which make it appear red in colour.
