What are the physiological causes of two or three of the symptoms you chose, and how do they relate to the development and growth of the fetus?
symptoms that are related to the development and growth of fetus and their physiological causes are as follows:
1] Slow fetal Growth- is also known as intrauterine growth restriction ,which is a condition signifying the slow growth of a baby during pregnancy.
the size of baby is smaller than normal.
physiological causes are
1] Preeclamsia-during pregnancy your blood pressure is constantly monitored to check. An increased blood pressure may indicate Preeclamsia, which compress the veins.these veins restrict the flow of blood to the placenta ,cutting down on the suply of sufficient oxygen & suppliments to the fetus. thereby leading to a slow growth.
2] Multiple pregnancies- slow fetal development is because of enefficiency of the placenta to meet the nutritional demands of the multiple babies.
3]Infections- any infection transfer from mother to during pregnancy can lead to slow fetal growth.
such as syphillis,(sexually transmitted disease),toxoplasmosis(a parasitic infection)
4]Lower level of amniotic fluid- it is necessary to have a sufficient level of amniotic fluid in the sac for normal fetal development to happen.various factors including health of mother, certain medications, slight rupture in the amniotic sac lead to deplete fluid level.
5]other reasons -small size of mother, smoke etc.
