- Prevention of accidents requires three things that is forethought , time and discipline.Parents play a major role in prevention of accidents and safety precautions

Safety precautions are

  • Never leave an infant alone in an unprotected place where there is chance for fall
  • Never give very small things to child
  • Never feed solids which are difficult to chew
  • Electrical appliance should be kept out of reach
  • Give proper direction for action
  • provide constant supervision
  • Toys should not have removable small parts
  • Coins , buttons , beads must not be left within child's reach
  • Keep hot things far away from child

Primodial level of prevention must be implemented by the nurse.

- The Affordable Care Act, also known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is a United States federal statute enacted by the 111th United States Congress and signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010

- The comprehensive health care reform law enacted in March 2010

- It is commonly known as Obamacare

- Obamacare's main goals were to make health insurance more affordable, more accessible, and overall more fair for consumers.

- Many health insurance changes came out of the ACA.

- A set of 10 categories of services health insurance plans must cover under the Affordable Care Act

- The law has 3 primary goals:

  • Make affordable health insurance available to more people.

Addiction to alcohol and other drugs

  • Adolescence is the time where most of person are starting their habits of drinking and smoking

Nutrition deficiencies

  • adolescence is the peak time where a lot of nutrients is required by the body for growth and development
