Expert Solution

Reuse:

Using items in their original state more than once, instead of tossing them away after through using. Reuse prevents the use of new materials a little longer, and existing resources from joining the waste stream.

Many reuse programs have evolved from local targets for solid waste reduction because reuse requires less resources, less energy, and less labor compared to recycling, disposal, or manufacturing of new products from virgin materials. Reuse is an effective , environmentally friendly solution to other forms of waste disposal, as it eliminates soil, water and land emissions, restricts the demand for additional renewable resources such as wood , coal, fabrics and other materials. Recently, the US Environmental Protection Agency identified waste management as an effective means of reducing greenhouse gas pollution, a factor leading to global warming.
