Before discussing about the discovery which has got biggest impact on the public health first we should see what is public health

Public health : Public health is a science which deals mainly with improving the quality of life of the society mainly by preventing the diseases. So preventing the disease is the main target in the public health. In the disease prevention aspect, the main discovery is the discovery of the vaccine.

Vaccine: Vaccines are certain biological preparation which gives immunity.

History of vaccine

1880 – Vaccine for cholera

From this time onwards we have started to find vaccines for the major communicable disease and many of the countries are having an immunization schedule to vaccinate the children

Impact of vaccine on public health We were able to save millions of life due to the invention of vaccine.

Now the world is facing the pandemic COVID -19. Wide spread of this affected the health status of the people, It cause death of people world wide. It affected the economic status of all countries. Daily life of the human beings got affected for months. Children were not able to go to the schools. Now also we are living with COVID. In order to save the world from this pandemic the only option is we could find a good vaccine.
