According to WHO, Climate change affect the social and environmental determinants of health -clean air, safe drinking water, sufficient food and secure shelter. Between 2030 and 2050, climate change causes malnutrition, malaria, diarrhoea and heat stress and leads to250000 additional death.
Climate change
Over the last 50 year, human activities causes sufficient amount of carbon dioxide and other green gases to trap additional heat in lower atmosphere and affect global climate. It causes global warming. Global warming contribute directly to deaths from cardiovascular and respiratory disease. Pollen and other aeroallergen levels are also higher in extreme heat it contribute asthma.
It also causes natural disaster and variable rainfall pattern. Rising sea level and increasingly extreme weather events will destroy home, medical facilities and other essential service. More than half of the world's are lived within 60 km of sea. People may be shifted to heightened area causes mental disorder and communicable disease.
Rainfall patterns causes lack of safe drinking water which leads water born disease.
Leading cause of death due to water born disease especially diarrhoea in children, Malaria, respiratory and cardiovascular disease due to global warming.
