In movie extraordinary measures , john living with his wife and have 3 children though 2 of them suffer from genetic disorder known as pompe disease which is fatal and no cure is found but John wants to save his Children and leaves his job and collaborates in research to find effective method to improve disease condition and reduce its effect. Later it is found that research has worked and discovered a way to treat but found that more effective in newborn and not at later stages of life and if given in new born chances of survival are very high

This is where medical moral problem arises as john wants to treat his children , because of whom he screwed his job and come to research about this disease though his colleagues thinks that treatment should be priorties to the new borns as rate of survival is higher in them and not in his children. In general it is to be considered that treatment should be given to the group in which it is most effective and by this John's children would be left out as they were grown up. Thus the decision to whom it is should be provided and who should be left out from treatment is a medical moral problem that arises in this story
