What does the influenza epidemic tells us about the state of the world in 1918-1919? What are it lessons for our world today?
Put in paragraph form (6 sentences or more)
The Influenza epidemic of 1918-1919 was considered to be the
most severe epidemics of all.. About more than 500 million people
which was about the one third of total population of the world were
inflicted by the disesase and became harshly infected with this
dreadful virus, due to which the chances of survival were almost
negligible. Thus the disease resulted in the number of deaths all
over the world and left many with exacerbating, bad health. The
disease mostly resulted in deaths mostly among infants, adults and
old.
The world witnessed , first and the most extreme type of virus
spreading at a highly alarming level leaving no man unaffected.
Almost one member in a US family suffered due to the virus.
The foremost lessons from the influenza of 1918 was the symptom
recognition at proper time . It was too late when the person came
to know that he was inflicted by the disease mostly because of very
less symptoms which were hard to recognize.
The another lesson was that the preventive measures should be
preferred over the curative measures , thus prevention should be
made possible.
