Business support systems are the sources available to an entrepreneur for obtaining financial and managerial assistance. They support the business with all the resources required to grow which can then help in growing the economic growth of the country. In Malaysia, the business support systems are available in many forms like technical assistance, financial assistance, entrepreneur and managerial training marketing support, infrastructure location, information support.
The five examples of these business support systems and the facility they provide are:
- Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA)- It provides loans and equipment to small business entrepreneurs. It also provides training and guidance to these entrepreneurs. It supports with programmes like technical Entrepreneurs Programme and Apprenticeship Training Scheme. It provides business sites to conduct business activities.
- Malaysian Entrepreneurship Development Centre(MEDEC)- Provides training, education and consultancy by planning and implementing entrepreneurship development programs
- Malaysia IndustrialDevelopment FinanceBerhad (MIDF)- It provides finance for procurement of fixed assets for these entrepreneurs.
- National ProductivityCorporation (NPC)- helps to enhance quality and productivity by giving training opportunities and guidance of Total Quality Management.
- Urban DevelopmentAuthority (UDA)- It provides helps in carrying out the project related issues of housing, development, commercial and industrial issues at urban settlements
