Chi square statistical analysis is commonly used for testing relationships between variables which are categorised. It intends to measure how well an observed (experimental) distribution of data fits with the distribution that is expected (theoretical), if the variables/ data are independent [testing goodness of fit].
Aim: To calculate whether the two variables, The Educational Qualification of Mate and The Marital Status of Mate are related to each other or not.
Null Hypothesis: There is no relation between the marital status and educational qualification of mate choice.
Alternative Hypothesis: There is significant relation between the marital status and educational qualification of mate choice.
Significance level = 0.05 [5%] (general taken value for different type of observation)
Therefore, we see that the Calculated value of Chi-square is greater than Tabular value; so we accept Alternate Hypothesis ( that is, Significant ralation is present between Marital Status and Educational Qualification of Mate), and reject the Null Hypothesis.
