Identify an unsolved problem about the microbiota that will be best solved through systems biological approaches.
What problem are you trying to solve? Why is it important?
What will be the objective of the study?
To date, there are few papers published on the effect of alcohol on the fecal microbiome. The experimental results obtained are not constant and probably depend on the different methods of alcohol feeding.
This study is important for developing countries where hygenic conditions are difficult to maintain due to habbit of open defecation and lack of infrastructure.
Open defecation is the human practice of defecating outside, in the open environment. People may choose fields, bushes, forests, ditches, canals or other open space for defecation. 2.6 billion people worldwide don't have a toilet.
Such conditions are open invitation to diseases due to contamination of land and water. Hence this study is important.
Objective of the study will be to provide cleanliness at lower cost. Alcohol is byproduct of various industries and it can be provided to people in need at lower cost for maintaining a healthy atmosphere for ensuring real sustainable development.
