- woman might engage in the traditional role to nurture her family by working full-time within the horne rather than taking employment outside of the home.
-Men are presumed to be leaders traditionally.
- men tend to hold more power in their marriages than women since men are less likely to lose social status when the marriage is dissolved.
What functions did women and men play in the institutionalization of female and male roles and positions in that society
Man :-
- they went out of the house and work and started earning
- man were given education

- remain in the house maintaining, cleaning, nurturing
-religious beliefs also encouraged that man are head and women should obey them
-perspective of the society that man can have as many women as he wants, so the women were misused.
What parallels, if any, do you see with the roles of females and males in American society in the 21st Century?
- both man and women work to earn for the home.
-now the man also take up roles of cooking, caring for the baby
- now women are also involved in politics .
