Traditionally, men were regarded as a protector, provider and physically strong while women were expected to be physically attractive and a good housemaid. This would mean that men looked for physical aspects while women looked for safety and security. Thus, this reciprocity between the men and women brought them together for further relationship and form a family if they matched. Women were expected to be loyal to the men they marry but men didn’t have that restriction as they enjoyed more freedom and opportunities in the society than women. Women were restricted at home and held up in their household responsibilities including the upbringing of the children which held them back from having sex with other men than their men. Religious restrictions made it impossible for women to freely express themselves in terms of sexual behaviours.
