A) The donor child did not give any consent for helping the sibling related to the donation of her bone marrow. So it was not an act of Autonomy.
B) the donor child was not doing it as an act of charity or mercy and the child was neglected. So, it was not an act of Beneficence.
C) Here the doctor has done so many tests and treatment that had harmed the donor child and disrupted his/her normal life. The donor child was neglected and crime was done by violating the rights of the donor child.
D) The rights of the donor child were violated and disrupted. So, it was not an act of Dignity.
E) The donor child was discriminated nad treated with inequality and unfairly for the sake of her own sister. So, justice was not served.
QUESTION 2
The Dilemma For Parents
No parents in the world want to lose either of the children.
- On one hand, they had a gravely ill child. if she was not treated she would die.
- On the other hand, another child who can donate the part of the body, his normal life will be distrupted due to the treatments she would receive for saving her sister.
The Dilemma for Sick Child
- At one hand, the patient wants to have a normal, healthy and prolonged life.
- On the other hand, If her sister donates her part of the body. During the treatment, her sister would go through a lot of pain and her normal life would disturb.
The Dilemma of the Donor Child
- At one hand, the healthy child would want to have fun, play and to go to school.
- On the other hand, She can not see her sister dying or suffering from the grave illness and will want to save her.
QUESTION 3
In all these 3 perspectives of parents, sick child and donor child, the ethics played their role as:-
1. The consent was not taken from the donor child.
2. The donor child's confidentiality and private life were disrupted.
3. For the sake of the sick child, The donor child's right were neglected.
4. The donor child suffered a lot due to the tests and treatments. So, the laws were challenged and it is a crime to challenge the law.
5. As for the sake of one child, other one was discriminated.
