The Six Sigma is a program which is initiated for quality control and improves the customer’s experience, costs reduction and building a image and leadership figure in business community.

The Six Sigma process involves Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control, which on their part optimize and stabilize the revenue processes.

The DMAIC methodology is totally credited to the company “MOTOROLA” and the expansion and improvement in the system is done by the company “TOYOTA”. The Toyota company has employed the process to improve its production and its distribution process, which satisfies the customer needs.

Under the DMAIC methodology we follow the following steps:

  1. First of all, we define the problems and requirements which is required to improve the profitability by satisfying internal and external customers.
  2. Develop problem explanation and statements and the goals, which requires pin-pointing the problem and pain raising regions.
  3. Process improvement and defining the role of each and every component to improve the process.
  4. Measuring the resources which are required to process the improvement the services to customers like good product, better after sales services, quick response to the customer complaints, paying attention to the improvement suggestions.
  5. Analysing and Evaluating the present availability of resources and quantum of resources to be acquired and employed. The calculation towards the what things are required to achieve the target.
  6. Improving the service process: The needs of the customer is concentrated on answered by improving on the product and service points to satisfy the customers.
  7. Controlling the activities and the improved processes which we have taken up and raised.

Thus, the Six Sigma’s methodology of DMAIC has been totally successful to fulfil the requirement of the customer if adopted to be process as per the steps provided for improvement purpose.
