what are two ways that humans have altered the environment of fishes? pls give two examples of how these have negatively affected them. pls help

Solutions

Expert Solution

1. The humans are cutting trees of the river bank and ponds, hence it enhances the erosion of soil towards the river or pond respectively and hence decreasing the spawning area and also their habitat area. So that the survival of the fishes is becoming difficult in such a small area with its high population. This loss of vegetation is also causing reducing of shades upon the water and hence the temperature of the water is increasing. The increase in temperature of the water is also becoming unsuitable for the fishes.

2. Humans by means of applying insecticides and fertilizers to their field or by adding drain water coming out from different households and factories are making the water polluted. As the water is being polluted, it leads to eutrophication and hence also the reduction in the amount of dissolved Oxygen in the water. It also makes barrier in the growth of fish population.

Decrease in aquatic vegetation also results in decrease in food amount for the fishes.
