Describe two ways that humans have contributed to the extinction of different species.
there are so many ways that humans contributing to the extinction of endangered species.
1) Habitat destruction: this posing to the greatest threat to species. humans are taking away the natural habitats like forests, lakes, swamps, plains and other habitats for agriculture, industry development, road lines, pipelines etc.
this is identified as 85% contribution of threat to endangered species.
population growth, urbanization, industrialization and tourism posing an impending cause for habitat destruction.
2) Global warming: for the past century, Earth's average temparature has risen by 1oc.
Reasons: CO2 is the main heat trapping gas in the environment released by human activities like burning gas, oil (automobiles), fossil fuel, burning forests, tiny pollution particles (produced due to fossil fuel buring reflects sunlight back), black carbon (soot) absorbs more heat.
effects: melting of polar ice results destruction of natural habitats for polar animals like polar bears
even a breif increase in temperature may become too warm for certain fish to reproduce.
