A country can play a significant role in global health governance. A multiplicity of agendas and actors characterizes the current global health arena. The steps a country can take to play a responsible role in the global health arena are:
--A country needs to improve the coordination necessary to avoid inefficiency, waste, and turf wars
--Promotion of program that enhances both national and global ability of the nation to support to develop a sustainable operational body that would deal with unprecedented biological, chemicals and chemical weapons. .
--A country may work together with other countries to share information about known diseases and public health events of international concern.
--Implementations of regulations designed for preventing the international spread of diseases, while minimizing interruption of world travel and trade.
--A coherent system of international health governance can be founded and built on the common interests of states and their partners.
--Standard health measures of chronic disease and life expectancy, inclusive of depression among adults, can be compared to other Organization for Economic and Co-operation and Development (OECD) member countries. The countries with better health outcomes can help weak countries in identifying the ways to improve the Nation’s public health.
