In this interview project, you will research and determine 10 questions that you would use in an interview and an expected response from each of the interview questions. Start by setting up the scenario for a job that the person being interviewed would be applying for. You can make it up, look up a job advertisement online, or in a newspaper. Include that advertisement in your submission. Research and find 10 appropriate questions to ask in the interview. You will need to cite your resources so be sure to keep the information from any website that you use in your notes. Respond to each of the interview questions with what response you would expect as the interviewer.
Job position: Sales executive
Questions I would be asking the candidate will be:-
What values should a good sales executive possess?
The response of the candidate will help me in knowing how much he knows about the job and what values will be important in performing his/her job effectively.
What is more important - maintaining the existing customers or attaining new ones?
The response will help me in identifying what are his priorities as far as customer relationships are concerned.
How will you handle an angry customer who is behaving rudely?
The response will conclude whether he would keep calm and let the incident go unnoticed or he will backfire or will report to higher authorities. It helps in understanding the thought process of the candidate.
How will you use social media to your advantage in performing your duties?
This will convey how proficient and savvy the candidate is in using the latest technology and marketing tools.
When was the last time you learned something new?
This will help in understanding whether the candidate is interested in developing his skills to perform his job more effectively.
What are your future plans on the professional front?
The response will determine the ambitions of the candidate and whether he/she is driven to go the extra mile to get promoted or not.
What was your most successful sale? How did you achieve it?
The response will shed a light on the success of the candidate as a sales executive and his work process to perform the job tasks.
What is more important - increasing your commission or maintaining happy customers?
The response will make me understand what will be his/her priority while working in the company.
What motivates you more - monetary or non-monetary?
The response will help me in designing the most effective plan for salary and benefits.
