1 Answer: The ventrogluteal site for IM injection can be located by placing a person's hand on the greater trochanter of the femur. This would be where the bone sticks out of the upper thigh close to the hip. This would help to locate the iliac crest and we can place the index finger on this site to mark for the injection.
The steps for giving the injection into the ventrogluteal site are;
2nd Answer: The symptoms of hypokalemia are not specific and are mostly related to muscle and cardiac functions. It is mostly seen that weakness and fatigue are the regular complaints. The muscle weakness that happens because of hypokalemia can be caused due to many possibilites like constipation or abdominal enlargement, dyspnea and decreased ability to perform exercises.Sometimes the muscle weakness leads to paralysis and also muscle cramps and pain can occur with direct or indirect muscle injury.
