Expectation on evaluators of Cultural competency and Ethical decision making:

Evaluation of Cultural competency and ethical decision making should be transparent, independent and ethical. Cultural competency refers to the development of proper attitude towards a culture after acquiring certain knowledge regarding the culture and the development skills to deal with them . Cultural and ethical evaluators should consider cultural context and ethics as the basic necessity of evaluation. Culture refers to the customs,arts, habits, life style , background that characterise a particular society or nation.  

Expectation on Evaluators:

Evaluators are the one who evaluates a particular task or situation. The fundamental expectations on the evaluators of ethical decision making and cultural competence , according to American evaluation association are:

* Respect for people: Evaluators should have the basic quality of Respect for the people, especially the stakeholders. The stakeholders are the participants of the program , respondents, clients and other associated people of the task.

* Inquiry should be systematic: The evaluator should conduct a data based and systematic inquiry on the various components involved in the task, that is going to be evaluated.

* Honesty: Evaluators should have the basic quality honesty in doing the task evaluation, also he should have the quality of Integrity .

* Competence: The evaluator should be competent enough in the aspect of not only academic qualification, but also he should exhibit the cultural competency and ethical behaviour and decision.  

* Obligations on society: Evaluators should have certain responsibilities over public . The should work for the well being of society and the people through evaluating certain tasks by keeping the societal values and interests in mind.

How to communicate?

The evaluators for ethical decision making by keeping cultural competency should be communicated well on details of the situation/ task , that they are going to evaluate. They should have a thorough knowledge about the stakeholders of the task / situation . An official notice should be there on the time period/ date of the assessment process of the particular task , that should be priorly informed to the members of the Institutional Ethical Review Board Committee ( IERBC).

The evaluation process that they are going conduct should be independent, transparent, culturally sensitive, impartial and timely.
