What are the main lessons learnt from diagnostic testing during the COVID-19 pandemic that could assist with future communicable diseases?
From the point of view of the society, this pandemic has made the world believe two basic things. The first thing is that the human life is very fragile which contradicts our initial thoughts of being indestructible and immpecable. We have come to know that even a small virus can destroy everything in all the ways possible. This awareness of fragility is quite healthy to better face such condition in more realistic way in the future. We will not take things lightly and immediate actions would be taken at governmental as well as personal levels even if slightest of any such symptom occurs in the future. The second thing is interdependence. Now, everyone on earth is fully conscious about this interdependence among individuals and countries. We also tend to believe that countries are isolated entities but not at all. Everthing is interconnected, everything is globalized and this pandemic has shown that there are no border or boundaries. This is a worldwide pandemic and a global problem. So to tackle this issue we have to find a global solution too. Countries have to come together and work hand in hand with other countries to solve health related problems world wide. Also world as well as individual countries have to keep themselves prepared in such a way that if any such incidence happens again in the future, we have the sufficient resourses, work force, equipments, assessibility and capitals in reserve to fight it effectively without any loss of life.
