Peer Review on a speech:

Topic : Prevention of Teen suicide

The speech delivered on Teen suicide was a topic of contemporary issue . The speech was not an impromptu ( without prior preparation), but was a memorized one .

Three aspects of speech delivery:

* Delivery of speech: As all know a smooth natural delivery of a speech is the result of repeated practice. The speech delivery was smooth.

* Auditory aspects:

Volume of speech was adequate

Pitch was proper for a message

Articulation of words and language , used was simple , It could be little more formal , then the speech would be more powerful.

* Visual aspects: Facial expression and Eye contact was poor . A neutral expression is not good while delivering a speech of a sensitive topic like Teen suicide. Appropriate facial expression was missing in the speech.

Posture and appearance was good.

2. Aspect of content: The three aspects of content of a speech  are the introduction, body and conclusion.  

* Introduction: The introduction was very less , and couldn't able to capture the attention of the Audience. The topic of choice was good, but the speaker couldn't introduce it attractively. He could include the current statistical report of Teen suicides in the nation and state , instead telling just general statement like ' Teen suicides are more now a days' .

* Body of speech was very informative and had all the necessary aspects of the topic ' Prevention of Teen suicide ' , like its causes, risk factors, warning signs, parents' and teachers ' role in preventing teen Suicide, and what a student should do,' if he/ she or his friend is having suicidal thoughts or talks' and the helpline numbers .

* Conclusion was appropriate.

3 . The speech was effective as the body of speech contained all most all the areas related to the Topic of selection. Hope all the Audience , who attended it got an insight into the Preventive aspect of Teen suicide.

Conclusion- was good

The speech was not so lively as the facial expressions were not appropriate and lack of eye contact maintanance. The General appearance of Speaker was good. Overall The speech was informative.
