a) Burning of coal to produce electricity

burning of coal turns into ash once coal is completely burned with heat released in the atmosphere which cannot be reversed back into coal and hence a strictly a phenomena of entropy increase.

b) Burning of oil, petroleum and natural gas in automobiles

the same principle of entropy increase follows in this example where fuel is burned to drive our vehicles and once burned for the purpose it cannot be reversed back into fuel and so truly a example of entropy increase.

2) a) during a cricket match when umpire tosses a coin to decide which team would bat/bowl  first.

the coin has two faces a head and a tail , so the probability to win the toss for each of  the team = 50%
