It is a postivist paradigm since it discuss with someone's beliefs, religion and spirituality.
What is the worldview of the nursing profession?

It is nothing but the way we look at the world. For instance atheism belief that God doesn't exist, illustrates that universe and life created by various evolutions over a long period of time. (Like millions of years ago).
World view of nursing profession
It is described as the collection of beliefs and practices that influence the nursing job while a nurse at work.
Beliefs, values and practices of both nurse and patient can relate in order to deliver and receive better care.
How are worldviews related to religion?
Worldviews and religion is interconnected. A person who practice a religion obviously look at the world only thorough his beliefs and practices. His decisions and actions are related to his religion to be certain.

A patient who has a religious background for instance in christianity if a patient is in palliative care the might request for a priest to conduct his end time prayer rituals for him
About nurse
For example a nurse who is a christian often hesitate to support abortion since her beliefs are against abortion.

Why is it important to know your worldview?
It is important know because it helps the nurse to compare and contract the different worldviews she may come across at their workplace. This helps to avoid discrimination consequently the patient and nurse are equally benefited.
