Barriors as to why health care staff delaying calling RRT can include OPTIONS 1,3,4.

option 1,

surely inappropriate knowledge and skill test of a bed side nurse will affect the delay in calling of RRT.

option 3

To handling a situation crisis there should need proper communication of the team workers.proper communication will effective incalling rapid response team.communication makes way easier.

option 4

The fear of calling RRT is comes under inappropriate knowledge. When person is having adequate knowledge of criteria of RRT, there is no chance fear of Calling RRT for unnecessary reason.

  why i am excluded option 2

​​​​​​The priority should give for the patient present condition. Nurse should have to make sure of patient is safe.And there is no criteria says like that. RRT I s using in critical situation so need of worry about prior notify to RN or SPN.

ADDITION TO THIS......can include

  1. Delay of understanding patient deterioration.
  2. In efficiency of handling situation.
  3. Decision making of bedside nurse
  4. Nursing shortages
  5. Poor knowledge and confidence

***CRITERIA FOR RRT

The given conditions are

1. Heart rate 35. (Less than 40 or greater than 140comes underRRT.)

2 Chest pain. (if it is unrelieved by nitroglycerin)

3. neuro changes or stroke

4 pain score10

5. Respiratory rate is 6. ( less than 8 and over than 28.)

6. blood pressure systolic 180 ( greater than 180 or less than 90,)

All given conditions can include under RRT.

***ADDITION TO THIS .... can add some other conditions

  1. Oxygen saturation less than 90%
  2. Urine output less than 50cc over four hours.
  3. Staff member has significant concern about the patient condition.
  4. Seizures

5 Threatened airway...

A health care team always should individually ready to identity and act in a critical situation from all aspects.

This will helps to improve in patients condition and to reduce the chance of delaying calling RRT.
