Read the following scenario describing a research project, and then write a short criticism of this project. You should clearly identify at least four aspects of the project which you believe are incorrect or poor. These may relate to the research question, the experimental design, the analysis and reporting, and/or any ethical or academic misconduct issues. For each criticism which you identify, clearly describe the problem and state how it should have been addressed to improve the quality of the research.

A company providing on-line teaching software claims that students who are on-line students achieve better results on learning programming languages than on campus students. The company has developed a hypothesis based on this claim. The company chose one university to conduct research to test this hypothesis. It applied for research ethics clearance and at the same time included both on-line and on campus students to participate in this experiment.

At the end of semester, all students undertook the same assignment on programming languages. The company used final scores of all students to test its hypothesis. The company has published a report in which it concludes “the average score of 67 for online students is higher than the average score of 65.5 for on campus students, and so we can conclude that on-line students achieve better results in learning programming languages than on campus students. Therefore, this teaching method should be used for all students in future.”

Here it is given scenario tells that online learning is better than on campus learning.It may be write but for very advantages there is some disadvantages.So it is said that in future online teaching method should be used,it is not a good way.Because of the following reason:

• Online teahing means for learning or teching one of the necessary thing needed is internet connection.But this connection is not available at every places.In some places this network reachability is a main problem.So if this online teaching is going to continue only some students who have very fast internet connection will get better education and others cant get better education.This is a main problem .So inorder to avoid this issue please be sure that all students get internet connections and all students are online at same time for learning.And if possible some course with low internet speed must be provided.
• By teaching it is mean that the students should understand what the teacher is teaching.In oncampus education the students can ask their teachers if they have any doubts.There is a face to face communication in oncampus teaching.But in online there is no way for the students to communicate with their teachers.It is hard for the students to solve any doubt regarding there programmning.So this can be avoided by proving a video chat with the teacher so that the students feel comfort and can ask their doubts directly to their teachers.
• In an oncampus type of teaching or learning there is not only teaching ,there is some funtime for students ,so they feel very calm and happy and they enjoy their learning,but one of the problem with this online learning is that the students need to be full time engagement infront of the system and they feel really boring .But they learn it because they want it.But there is no any fun in it .So the solution for it is make the course interactive and sum fun way of teaching could be better for the students.
• Another problem is that there is no a time lilmit for most of the courses.So it is find that the students may not complete the course fastly.It take them too mush time to complete the course.So it is online so nobody ask them why it is not completing in time .SO inorder to avoid this a time limit should be there for the completion of course.

So for the traditional way of teaching it is better oncampus teaching so that the students feel happy and can learn with communicating with friends,teachers etc.Online course is also better but it feels the students isolated.
