Expert Solution

Answer. The healthcare professionals are taught about the cultural aspects of different religion or beliefs to understand the patient's thought process and it makes little easy to communicate with them. It is under the teaching guidelines for healthcare professionals to get training in learning to demonstrate understand patients with diverse values, beliefs, and feelings.

This cultural competence actually removes the negative stereotypes and personal biased thoughts about different groups. These cultural aspects play important role in understanding the perceptions of health for different people like, their views about illness and death, beliefs about causes of disease and their approach to health promotion.Cultural competence helps to know that where the patient is seeking help and what types of treatment patient is preferring. Besides teaching the healthcare professional, they are learnt to start from themselves by exploring their own historical roots, beliefs and values, which will extend their views for other persons also. While in hospitals and treating and dealing with different people helps to understand the variety of beliefs, relationships and faiths, etc.

The main aim of Cultural competence is to give respect. , that is the respect for the patients, theor family members and their beliefs, customs, values, language, and traditions. These aspects will bring more ease in communicating freely and honestly. This thing will at the end hepls to reduce disparities in the healthcare and brings improved outcomes in treatments and patient's health.
