Diabetes melitus : A group of disease that result in too much sugar in the blood.
Type 2 diabetes : A chronic condition that affects the way the body processes blood sugar.or body cannot respond normally to the insulin that is made type 2 .This causes the glucose level in the blood to risk above the normal then we say the person has develop diabetes.
Prevention of type 2 diabetes
1. Check your risk of diabetes
2. Manage your weight
3. Exercise regularly
4. Eat a balanced ,healthy diet
5.limit your alcohol intake
6. Limit take away and processed foods.
7. Quit smoking
8 .control your blood pressure
Every single day million of people are bypassing simple steps to prevent type 2 diabetes. As of January 2011 ,25.8 million children and adult have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes ( American Diabetes Association.).type 2 diabetes is a disease that causes high blood sugar levels due to a malfunction within the body to properly use insulin. The role of insulin is to lower and control blood sugar levels so they do not get too high. After people are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes they have too immediately start taking care of it before it progresses into another serious disease .Type 2 diabetes is irreversible and will have to be taken care of daily.Specifically, diet and exercise .
The stages of development of Type 2 diabetes?
There are 4 stages of type 2 diabetes are,
1. Insulin resistance
2. Prediabetic
3. Type 2 diabetes
4. Type 2 diabetes and vascular complications, including retinopathy,,neuropathy, and or related microvascular events.
Type to diabetes develops when the body becomes resistant to insulin or when the pancreas is unable to produce enough insulin.Exactly why this happens is unknown ,although genetics and environmental factors, such ad being overweight and inactive.mostly people having some changes in our body. some people unable to understand mostly seeing some symptoms are ,
Increased thirst
Frequent urination
Increased hunger
Weight loss
Fatigue
Blurred vision
Slow healing sores
Frequent infections
Areas of darkened skin ,usually in the armpits and neck
So we have to check sugar levels at least monthly ones .take medicine and take healthy food or do exercises.
Metabolic syndrome risk and utility?
Metabolic syndrome is often associated with being overweight or obese and and lack of physical activity.it's also linked to insulin resistance, which is a key feature of type 2 diabetes.blood sugar levels are controlled by a hormone called insulin.metabolic syndrome is a cluster of condition that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes.the condition include increase blood pressure ,high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist ,and abnormal cholesterol or triglycerides.
There are five risk factors are
Increased blood pressure
High blood sugar levels (insulin resistance)
Excess fat around the waist
High triglycerides levels
Low levels of good cholesterol or HDL
The metabolic syndrome (MetS) is marked by abnormalities in central obesity, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, low high - density lipoprotein- cholesterol, and high fasting glucose and appears to be produced by underlying process of inflammation, oxidative stress, and adipocyte dysfunction.
