How does baldrige quality award differ from the JD Power and Associates award and which is more pertinent today
A Thumbs Up! Would be really helpful for me. If you have any questions, please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Malcolm Baldrige national quality award is an international award by the US that recognizes UR companies in business, education, health, and none profit sectors for their outstanding contributions and performances. Here, recipients are being selected or nominated based on their investments, performances, and contribution to society. Measurements, innovation, analysis, and knowledge management are the key areas to focus on while deciding for the best company to award. Major awards focus on processes and management systems rather than other key areas.
Whereas, JD Power and associates award is the world's adjustable customer rating award that is based on the rating of products and services on opinions on consumers from different industries. It is said that the JD award is the paid award and every year companies pay a heavy amount to get nominated for the award and getting surveyed. It's volunteered customer data which is said to be biased enough. It's also believed that the JD award is given to only those companies who pay high licensing fees and are being named to their ads prior to the ceremony.
Undoubtedly, the baldrige quality award is more pertinent today as key areas it focuses are what matters within a company ultimately and gives a company a label and importance.
