The standard of living refers to the degree of wealth, and several other available comforts. Fertility is the capacity of a person or population to produce viable offspring. Hunger is a condition wherein an individual, for a sustained period, is unable to eat sufficient food to meet basic nutritional requirements. Environmental stress refers to the pressure on the environment caused by human activities.
There exists a relationship between standards of living, fertility rates, hunger, and local environmental stress. The high standard of living is positively associated with high fertility rates. Due to high living standard there will be more facilities such as presence of hospitals, improved maternity care and good diet will boosts fertility rate. Hunger and fertility rate are directly proportional thus means that higher fertility rate will cause an increase in the population at a higher rate which will cause lower living standards and hunger. The higher fertility rate will increase the environmental stress will because there will be a strain on the available resources.
