Using the example below. Formulate the RESEARCH QUESTION about leadership style in PICOT format.
1. When categorizing nurse managers as summarizing their personal information, are there significant differences in their identified leadership styles?
2. What are the results of the nurse managers’ leadership styles as observed by the staff nurses in relation to additional work, effectiveness, and satisfaction?

Nurse managers had many leadership styles, but normally they had one that they used more than the others. The nurse managers should consider their leadership style from the point of view of employees, situation factors, and goals of the organization. Leadership styles where employees are seen in a participative, active role have become more common. Together with health care organizations, nursing education programmes should include education of nurse managers to improve their self reflection, through which they are better able to vary their leadership style.

The nurse managers displayed transformational leadership behaviour more than transactional and laissez-faire leadership styles. The staff nurserespondents were somewhat satisfied with their work environment and professional relationships; however, they were unsure whether they were satisfied with factors such as autonomy, work worth, role enactment and benefits - as reflected in their neutral responses. Transformational leadership styles positively correlated with the nurses’ job satisfaction.
