Access to health care means having the timely use of personal health services to achieve the best health outcomes (IOM,1993)..coverage: facilitates entry in to the health care system.uninsured people are less likely to receive medical care and more likely to have poor health status .

Health care coverage its helps emergency situations.

No one plans to get sick or hurt,but most people need medical care at some point.Health coverage helps pay for these costs and protects you from very high expenses.

Why is access to health Care access to comprehensive, quality health Care services is important for promoting and maintaining health,preventing and managing diseases,reducing unnecessary disability and premature death,and achieving health equity for all.

Examples like,taxpayer-funded by federal and state taxes; examples are medicare,medicaid,and children's health insurance program.

Private - funded: provide primarily through employer- sponsored plans; examples are blue Cross and blue shield plan, non blue commercial plans HMOs and self- funded employer.
