human nutrition topic; You are stranded on a tropical island that can grow all kinds of vegetation. You are in charge of what is grown on the farm for people that have diabetes, diverticulitis and heart disease. What 5 carbohydrate foods would you plant and why? There is a genetic predisposition for having diabetes however, what 2 health tips would you encourage the students in your class to follow to stay healthy and avoid getting diabetes in the future.

The five crops that I would grown on the farm for people that have diabetes, diverticulitis and heart disease are:

  1. Lentils: rich in fibre that help to reduce blood sugar

2. Beans: rich in fibre that help to reduce blood sugar

3. Peas : manganese and vitamin C present in pea help in diabetes-related blood vessel damage.

4. Apples: Because it keep blood sugar level stable.

5. Berries: Have a low sugar content than other fruit and rich in fibre that help to maintain blood sugar level.

2 health tips would you encourage the students in your class to follow to stay healthy and avoid getting diabetes in the future are:

               i. Eat healthy diet which is rich in protein, minerals , vitamins.

                ii. Exercise regularly to stay healthy
