A leader's personal bias may impact their ability to manage conflict with an employee. Have you witnessed leader bias in your workplace? How did the leader's bias influence the outcome of the conflict? If you were the leader, how would you manage your own personal bias?
Leaders had the specific role to determine the outcome and coordination of group activities. The nurse manager had the specific role such as
Assigning patients to the staff nurses, preparing duty roster for staff nurses, maintain patient nurse ratio etc. So because of this the nature of leader had impact in the group activities. There are different type of leadership are there such as
Autocratic: It is characterized by insistence on obedience to authority. Leader had the complete control over decision making and activities of the group.
Democratic: This type offer guidence to group members. Participation reflects a mental and emotional condition of a person in a group situation which encourage him to contribute to group goals.
Delegative: In this the leader give complete freedom to subordinates.
All of those type of leadership had its own advantages and disadvantages. All this types says that the leader had greater impact on the nature of group .
As we are the leader we need to reduce the personal bias to avoid the bad effects on group. Firstly we should identify our own defects and inabilities. And we try to overcome those situations.
