how od you manage your personal knowledge?
PKM(personal Knowledge Management) means taking control of your professional development and staying connected in the network era whether you are an employee or anything(stated by Harold Jarche) To manage our personal knowledge, whenever you find a situation where you would like to learn something or seeking for something that you want,the first and foremost thing you have to do is ask yourself the questions like or follow the following tips
here ,we go
1.don't be afraid to ask help someone or don't be afraid of sharing information
2.asking for help is also a strength because,no one has ever become poor by giving.
3. next one is,ask yourself like what can i do with the information or how it is useful for me or for someone?
when to share information or with whom i can share the information? examples are like blogs,wikis,etc
why information is useful? like analyzing and innovate the information.
how to find information when needed?
and how to use that information in proper manner?
These are some famous personal knowledge management skills(PKM) articles/methods/ whatever you call
A) Paul Dorsey says that PKM is combination of Retrieving,evaluating,organizing,collaborating around,analyzing,presenting and securing the information.
B) Harold Jarche says that PKM is a Process of individually constructed,to help each of us make sense of our world,work more efficiently,and contribute to our society.
as we have already observed in the first line that,personal Knowledge Management means taking control of your professional development and staying connected in the network era whether you are an employee or anything.
Personal Means, one's capabilities,or interests whereas knowledge means understanding the information and have the experience of that information.(like,know what,how,or who?why?simply we can say like WH QUESTIONS)
c) Lilia Efimova stated that PKM is a mix of activities that are contributing to some personal effectiveness in a knowledge-intensive environment.it's not only about creating,sharing and analyzing the information or knowledge,but also supportive activities.
effective knowledge is enabled by trust and faith or shared between people involved. and knowledge workers are faced with a need for personal information management to organise their paper and digital archives,e-mails or bookmark collections.
