Indication -
Unconscious patient
Disability.
Neurological conditions.
Post Oral surgery.
Dyspagia

Gingivitis
Ulcers
Sores.
Chillites
Debris.
Dental caries.
Dental plaque.
Oral pain etc.
Nursing intervention-
Provide oral hygiene every day with chlorhexidine solution.
Promote oral care every morning.
Assessment for any oral abnormality.
Assessment for oral ulcer.
Gargels after food in case of conscious patients.
Education-
Educate patient about the importance of oral hygiene.
Educate about maintaining oral hygiene.
Education about complications of oral unhygienic conditions.
Education patient to maintain good oral hygiene.
Carry out oral care post luch Or dinner as food sediments may cause oral ulcers.
