____________ contractions cause urine to flow into the urinary bladder.
URINARY SYSTEM
The ureters are two tubes that drain urine from the kidneys to the bladder , where ureters are composed of smooth musclur tube. It is the smooth muscle contarctions in the walls of the ureters, over time, send the urine in small spurts into the urinary bladder, where urine gets stored before getting eliminated. Ureteral peristalsis is triggered by calicium dependent pacemaker cells in ureteral smooth muscle.
The urinary sytem consists of kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. The urinary system is regulated by the endocrine system by hormones such as antidiuretic hormone, aldosterone, and parathyroid hormone. Urine is formed in kidneys with the help of nephrons , through a filtration of blood. The urine is then passed through the ureters to the urinary bladder by smooth muscle contarction , for temporary storage of urine before elimination of urine. At last during urination, the urine is passed from the bladder through the urethra to the outside of the body.
