An organizational leader may influence their subordinates in their attitude, beliefs, behavior and feelings to achieve the organizational as well as personal goals
Being an effective leader, the leader must possess certain charaecteristics such as ability to set goals, oversee staff, work with subordinates, and creste a vision among the staff.
Its the responsibility of tge leader to set goals, formulate plans, and organize people to achieve the goals.
INORDER TO ENGAGE STAFF IN ACHIEVING THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND PERSONAL AGENDAS, THE LEADER CAN PROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING :(DOWNWARD COMMUNICATION )
Provide information in such a way that, the subordinates can maintain the same mindset of supervisors as well as organizations
The leader should communicate, the policies, procedures and restrictions as wel as compensations of the organization, so that the staff get a clear idea on what they are going to do
Inform the staff that, performance appraisal will be considered as a means to assess the outcome of activities.
Offer them the possibilities of formal and informal learning environment to achieve their personal goals
Inform that support will be provided to satff, if they want to take up new roles or responsibilities in the organization
Inform that supervision and monitoring of activities will be done as a part of quality improvement
Inform about possible means of personal growth in the organization
A positive relationship with leader and staff along with effective communication and frequent reassessment of activities improve the professional and personal growth of employees as well as help to achieve organizational goals
