APA format on punctuation have been used widely. it describes about using commas, colon, semicolon, slashes, quotation marks, square brackets, parentheses, and periods.it explains when to use comma, stop, take a detour in a sentence.

commas is used in a sentence when the sentence has more characterstics ex: i have apple, orange, pineapple, and banana

semicolon is used to separate the list of containing commas example the particpants in the voley team are half bengalian;remaining half are tamilian. and it is used to separate multiple intext citations

colon:it is used for two independent explanationary statment. farmer accepted results of hardship: Those who worked harder performed well than less harder people. first letter of second sentence always capital

Square brackets is used to enclose ord or sentence within a bracket example klin fliter syndrome patient has extra additional chromosome (47 instead of 46)

spacing is used to add the sapce at the end of the sentence

quotation marks :inside of quotation marks use commas, periods, exclamation marks, and question marks. all other punctation are placed outside the quotation marks.

direction quotation marks :when the words has higher than 40, use block quotation and when words less than 40 words , use single quotation. when the letter, word, sentence,phrase as a linguistic example and when a new word used at first time to mention in slang , use quotation marks. when mentioning the title of chapter name example "the little boy who lived"

periods: abbrevation have been used in personal name intials,latin, era designation and when using united states and united kingdom. precaution to be taken while using abbrevation in some words. abbrevation should not be used in acdamic degrees, states, provinces, territories,routes of administartion, measurement.

dashes: a long dash has been used to separate a sentence ex the boy -----is sitting----on a chair

a small dash has been used in compound adjective ex numercal ranges (1-10)

hyphen has been used with abbrevations

punctation is used widely in every writing. it helps to space sentence, words, and also how to write some letter, words, sentence grammatically. reader can understand the topic clearly, specifically. specfically, periods and commas, quotation has been used widely in newspaper, article, books, and letter. repeated use of punctation while writing a book, article, reaserch, it helps us to read speak, write appropriately and accurately.
